Peter: Alrighty, so this is Psalms 70. Let me break it down for ya.

Lois: Okay, shoot.

Peter: So, the psalmist starts off by saying “Hasten, O God, to save me; come quickly, Lord, to help me.” Then they go on to say “Let those who seek my life be put to shame and confusion; let those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.”

Stewie: Sounds like a scene out of the Sopranos.

Brian: I don’t think that’s quite the right reference...

Peter: Anyways, then they say “Let them be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away; let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them.”

Meg: Wow, that’s intense.

Peter: Yeah, it gets even better. Then the psalmist says “Let their path be through the sea, their course through the mighty waters, with the sand as a boundary for them.”

Lois: You mean like that old arcade game, Seaquest?

Peter: Sure, yeah, why not. Anyways, then they say “Let them be blotted out of the book of life and not be written with the righteous.”

Stewie: Sounds like the plot of a Marvel movie.

Brian: Not quite...

Peter: Alright, lastly the psalmist says “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, ‘Let God be exalted!’”

Lois: Oh, that’s beautiful.

Peter: Yeah, that’s Psalms 70.
