Peter: Alright, I'm gonna try and make some sense of this chapter. It's Psalms 130.

Lois: Oh, Peter, why don't you just leave that to the experts?

Peter: No, Lois, I'm gonna do it. It starts off with the guy saying "Out of the depths I have cried to you, O Lord."

Cleveland: Oh, Lord, like, Lord of the Rings?

Peter: No, Cleveland, like Lord God. Anyways, he's basically saying that he is in deep trouble and he's crying out to the Lord for help.

Quagmire: Like, he's out at the club and he's like, "Yo, God, get me outta here!"

Peter: No, he's not. He's saying that he's in deep trouble and he's crying out to God for help. Anyways, he goes on to say that he hopes in the Lord, and that he waits for the Lord's mercy.

Brian: Oh, like, he's waiting for a miracle?

Peter: Yes, Brian, like he's hoping for a miracle. He says that he hopes in the Lord more than a watchman waits for the morning.

Stewie: Like, the watchman's just waiting for the sunrise so he can go back to bed?

Peter: Yeah, Stewie, like that. He says that Israel will wait for the Lord, because with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him there is plentiful redemption.

Lois: So, he's saying that if they wait for the Lord, He will provide mercy and redemption?

Peter: Right, Lois. That's the gist of it.
