Peter Griffin: Alright, so Psalms 98. This one starts off with a call to make a joyful noise to the Lord, to sing songs and shout for joy. (Brian nods in agreement) Then it talks about how the Lord has made salvation known to all the nations, and how righteousness and justice are the foundations of his throne.
Lois Griffin: Yeah, but then it gets really weird. It says something about how the Lord has made the sea and the rivers clap their hands, the hills and mountains sing for joy.
Brian: (confused) Wait, what?
Peter: Yeah, that's why I said it gets weird. It's like a really old version of Family Guy. (both Lois and Brian give him a look) Alright, moving on. It goes on to say that the Lord will judge the people with righteousness and justice, and that he will be a refuge for the oppressed.
Lois: It's like it's talking about God's love and justice, but in a really poetic way.
Peter: Yeah, it's kind of like a rap song. (Brian rolls his eyes) Anyway, at the end it says that the Lord will reign forever and ever, and all the people of the earth will be filled with joy.
Brian: So basically, God's justice and love will prevail forever and ever, and we should all be thankful for that.
Lois: (nodding) Exactly. Now if only the world would listen to this scripture and actually put it into practice!
