    Peter: Alright, here we go, 2 Chronicles 1. So, King Solomon went to the holy place at Gibeon and there he offered a thousand burnt offerings to the Lord. Lois: Wow, talk about a lot of firewood! Stewie: Yeah, that's like a whole season of Game of Thrones!

  • Chapter 2

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Chronicles 2, Stewie is all like, "Hey, Brian, I'm gonna build this temple for God, and I need to get some materials from Tyre. Can you help me out?" Brian: Sure, Stewie. So then Stewie sends a letter to King Hiram of Tyre asking for materials and assistance in building the temple.

    Lois: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 3 is about King Solomon building the temple in Jerusalem. Peter: Wow, I bet it was a beautiful temple. Just like the one I saw in that movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 4 starts off with King Solomon buildin' this temple! Lois: He made it out of bronze and gold, and it was so fancy it was like a golden palace! Brian: Yeah, and then he made two big ol' pillars for the front door, and he carved a bunch of decorations on 'em.

    Peter: Alright, what do we got going on in 2 Chronicles 5? Lois: Well, Peter, it seems king Solomon gathered the leaders of Israel to bring the Ark of the Covenant to the temple. Brian: No way! Like Indiana Jones?

  • Chapter 6

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 6. So, God's like, "Hey, Solomon. You're a pretty righteous dude, so I'm gonna give ya the gift of a temple. A temple of my own glory, n' stuff. Lois: It's kinda like a gigantic shrine, right?

  • Chapter 7

    Peter Griffin: OK, so this is 2 Chronicles 7. So God appears to Solomon, and he's like, "Hey dude, if you follow me, I'll bless your people." And then Solomon's like, "You betcha, God." So then God's like, "If your people ever get down and out, just come to this temple and pray, and I'll make it all better.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 8 starts off with Solomon building a fleet of ships in Ezion-Geber, which is near Elath in Edom, and then he sends his servants with the ships to Ophir to get gold. Lois: Wow, sounds like Solomon was really trying to expand his horizons.

    Peter Griffin: Alright, so in 2 Chronicles 9...uhhh... Queen of Sheba visits King Solomon, and she's like, "Wow, your wisdom is off the charts!" And Solomon is all like, "Yeah, I know, right?" So the Queen of Sheba is like, "I'm gonna bring you all these gifts, and you can have them!" And Solomon is like, "I mean, I guess, if you want to, sure!" So then the Queen of Sheba sees all of the wealth of Solomon and is like, "Damn, dude!" And Solomon is like, "Yeah, I'm pretty loaded, what can I say?"

    [Peter Griffin] Hey, so I just finished reading 2 Chronicles 10! It turns out that the people of Israel were divided into two factions, and the King of Israel, Rehoboam, was trying to decide which group to side with.

    Peter: Alright, so in the Bible, Chapter 11 of the Second Chronicles is all about King Rehoboam of Judah. Lois: Wow, I never knew Rehoboam was a king! Meg: Yeah, but he was only king of Judah, not Israel.

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Chronicles 12: we've got Rehoboam, the King of Judah, and the King of Israel, Shishak, invading Jerusalem. Lois: Oh no, not Shishak! Stewie: Yes, Shishak, the Egyptian Pharaoh from Disney's The Princess and the Frog.

    Peter: Alright, you guys, it's time for our summary of 2 Chronicles 13. Lois: Wow, time flies when you're having fun! Brian: Yeah, but this chapter isn't gonna be much fun. It's all about how King Abijah of Judah rallied his troops to fight against King Jeroboam's army of Israel.

    Peter: So, uh, 2 Chronicles 14, huh? Alright, so, it's all about King Asa of Judah. He's pretty awesome and defeats a bunch of enemies. Lois: Wow, that's great! So he's a real hero? Peter: Yeah, he totally is! He gets rid of all the idols and high places in Judah and tells the people to seek the Lord their God.

    Peter: Well, Lois, it says in 2 Chronicles 15 that King Asa made a covenant with the Lord and told everyone in Judah to seek the Lord with all their heart and soul. Lois: Oh yeah? So what happened? Peter: Well, Asa removed all the abominable idols from the land and told the people to live in the fear of the Lord and obey His commandments.

    (Peter Griffin as narrator): Alright, folks, this is 2 Chronicles 16. King Asa of Judah was doing a pretty good job of keeping God's laws, so the Lord sent a prophet to tell Asa that God would protect him from any enemies he might face.

    Peter: Alright, so our summary for 2 Chronicles 17 is that King Jehosophat of Judah was a pretty righteous dude. He got rid of all the idols in the land and worshipped only the Lord. He even appointed Levites and priests to teach the people the laws of God.

    Peter: Alright, so, 2 Chronicles 18 is about King Ahab of Israel teaming up with King Jehoshaphat of Judah to fight against the Syrians. Lois: You mean like in the classic movie "Ahab and Jehoshaphat: Pals On The Battlefield"?

    (Lois, Peter & Brian) Lois: Hey, so what’s the scoop with 2 Chronicles 19? Peter: Ooh, let me tell it! So, King Jehoshaphat of Judah was doing a good job, but then some of the people in the kingdom were still doing evil things.

    Peter: "Oh boy, it's time for 2 Chronicles 20! So, what happens in this one? Lois: "Well Peter, in this chapter, Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, learns that a huge army is coming against him and he prays for help.

    Peter: "Alright, let's talk about 2 Chronicles 21, eh boys? So, Jehoram of Judah was an evil dude who worshipped idols and killed off the prophets of the Lord. But then God sent a prophecy through Elijah the prophet saying that Jehoram would die a painful death because of his wickedness.

    Peter: Alright, so according to 2 Chronicles 22, Ahaziah was the king of Judah, but he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just like how I do evil in the eyes of Lois. Lois: Peter, that's not the same thing!

    Peter: Alright, so, 2 Chronicles 23. Basically, King Josiah is king of Judah, and he's a righteous dude. So, he gets all the priests and Levites together, and he's like "Hey, let's get rid of all the idols and stuff!"

    Peter: Alright everyone, let's get started on 2 Chronicles 24. It starts off with Joash becoming king of Judah at the age of seven. He followed the Lord's commands and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

    Peter: Alright everybody, let's get started on 2 Chronicles 25. Lois: Oh Peter, you always find the most interesting stories to talk about! Peter: That's right Lois, this one is about Amaziah, the King of Judah.

    Peter: Alright, so chapter 26 of 2 Chronicles is all about King Uzziah of Judah. Brian: Wow, that's a cool name. Lois: Umm, that's not important right now, Peter. So, Uzziah was a good king and he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

    Peter: Alright, so here's the deal: In 2 Chronicles 27, Jotham was king of Judah and he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He even built up the walls of Jerusalem and fortified the wall of Ophel.

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Chronicles 28, Ahaz, the king of Judah, was wicked and didn't follow God. So God allowed the king of Syria and the king of Israel to attack Jerusalem, and they took away a bunch of people and a lot of stuff.

    Peter Griffin: "Alright, 2 Chronicles 29. So, we got King Hezekiah, who's all like, 'Yo, let's clean up the temple and get back to worshipping God and stuff.' So, he orders a bunch of dudes to clean up the temple and get rid of all the idols and pagan stuff.

    Peter: Alright, so this chapter is all about King Hezekiah getting all the people of Israel and Judah together to celebrate the Passover. Lois: Oh wow, that sounds like fun. Peter: Not really, it's mostly Hezekiah telling everyone to repent and follow the Lord.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 31. Uh, okay. So, it's about King Hezekiah and how he did some stuff, like he had all the priests and Levites give out the tithes and offerings and stuff. Lois: What kind of offerings?

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 32. So much to talk about. Stewie: So, King Hezekiah of Judah was pretty badass. He managed to withstand an attack from Assyria's King Sennacherib, which is pretty impressive.

    Lois: Alright, so what Bible chapter are we summarizing today? Peter: 2 Chronicles 33. It's all about King Manasseh. Brian: Ah, yes, Manasseh. The King of Judah who turned away from God and caused the people to turn away from Him as well.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 34 is all about this King Josiah, who was only like 8 years old when he took the throne. He was a righteous dude, and sought the Lord all the days of his life, so he was pretty righteous.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 35. This is the chapter where King Josiah celebrates the Passover. Brian: But not before he repairs the temple and orders his people to properly prepare and observe it!

    Peter: Alrighty then, let's talk about 2 Chronicles 36. Lois: What's it about, Peter? Peter: Well, it's all about King Zedekiah and how he ignored God and was eventually overthrown. Meg: Wow, that's a bummer.
