Lois: Alright, so 2 Chronicles 3 is about King Solomon building the temple in Jerusalem.

Peter: Wow, I bet it was a beautiful temple. Just like the one I saw in that movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Brian: Peter, that was a movie. This is real life.

Peter: Yeah, I know. But it was still a cool temple.

Meg: Anyway, it says in 2 Chronicles 3 that God gave Solomon the exact measurements for the temple and its surrounding walls.

Chris: Whoa, that's so cool! It's like God was a real-life Bob Vila from This Old House.

Lois: I don't think that's quite what we should be focusing on here.

Stewie: Yeah, Lois. We were talking about Solomon building the temple. He used cedar and cypress wood, overlaid with gold and precious stones.

Quagmire: Wow, sounds like he was really living the high life. Just like me!

Lois: You are not at all like King Solomon, Quagmire.

Quagmire: No, but he did have a lot of wives, so I'm sure he had a lot of fun.

Brian: Guys, this is a religious text. We should probably focus on the spiritual lessons of the chapter.

Lois: That's right. It says that Solomon and the people of Israel dedicated the temple to God and that God blessed them for it.

Peter: That's awesome. Just like when I went to church last week and the pastor blessed us all.

Lois: That's not the same thing, Peter. But it's good that you're trying.
