(Peter Griffin as narrator): Alright, folks, this is 2 Chronicles 16. King Asa of Judah was doing a pretty good job of keeping God's laws, so the Lord sent a prophet to tell Asa that God would protect him from any enemies he might face.

(Lois Griffin): But then, Asa was like, "Nah, I don't need God's help. I got this."

(Meg Griffin): Yeah, so he made a pact with the King of Syria to provide Asa with military support - like a modern-day alliance between the Avengers and the X-Men.

(Brian Griffin): But instead of protecting him, the Syrians betrayed Asa and attacked Judah.

(Stewie Griffin): Fortunately, God came to the rescue and struck down the Syrians, so Asa was able to build up his army and defend Judah.

(Chris Griffin): And then, after a while, Asa died and his son Jehoshaphat became king.

(Peter Griffin): And that's how 2 Chronicles 16 goes. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go watch some Family Guy reruns.
