    Peter: Alright, so in this chapter of the Bible, God sends an angel to Elijah the prophet, telling him to go to meet the king of Israel. Lois: Oh, that sounds like a fun mission! Brian: What kind of king are we talking about here?

  • Chapter 2

    Peter Griffin: Alright, so this is 2 Kings 2. It starts off with Elijah going to be taken up to heaven in a whirlwind! (laughs) Like, he's like the opposite of The Wizard of Oz! Lois Griffin: Peter, that's enough.

    1-27 Lois: Alright, so what's the deal with the Bible chapter 2 Kings 3:1-27? Peter: Well, Lois, it's all about King Joram of Israel, who teams up with the king of Judah and the king of Edom to fight against the King of Moab.

    Brian: Alright, so Chapter 4 of 2 Kings starts with Elisha giving a woman a plan to pay off her debts. He tells her to borrow as many empty jars as she can and fill them with the only thing she owns, a bottle of oil.

    Lois: Alright, so 2 Kings 5 opens with a military commander from Syria named Naaman. He had leprosy and was sent by the king of Syria to the king of Israel for a cure. Peter: Hey look, it's Naaman from Syria.

  • Chapter 6

    Peter Griffin: Yo, it's time for a summary of 2 Kings 6, Stewie! Stewie Griffin: Alright, Peter. So, this one starts off with the prophet Elisha and his servant, who are about to be surrounded by the army of the King of Syria.

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Kings 7, we've got this crazy story about some lepers who discover a whole bunch of food that was hidden away by the Syrians. Lois: Oh wow, that's like that one episode of Friends where they find a giant pot of gold in Central Park.

  • Chapter 8

    Lois: Alright, Peter, what do you got for us on 2 Kings 8? Peter: Ah, yes, 2 Kings 8. In this chapter, Elisha tells the King of Israel that God is going to cure the woman's leprosy. And then they go and it happens just like that!

  • Chapter 9

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Kings 9, Jehu anointed as king by one of Elijah's followers, and then he goes and kills Joram. Lois: Oh no! That's so sad. Brian: Yeah, and then he kills Ahaziah, who was kind of Joram's successor.

  • Chapter 10

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 10. Let me see if I can figure this one out. So…uh…okay, so…the kings of Israel were being really bad, and God sent a prophet to warn them. But they didn't listen. Lois: Yeah, and then God sent Jehu, who was a military commander, to take out all the bad kings and their families.

    Lois: Alright, so 2 Kings 11...where do I even begin? Peter: Well, let me tell ya. This chapter starts off with Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab, who became queen after her son Ahaziah died. Lois: Oh, yeah, I remember her from the last episode.

  • Chapter 12

    Peter: Alright, time for the summary of 2 Kings 12. So, Jehoash, King of Judah, follows the commands of the priests and repairs the temple. He also collects some money from the people to help with the repairs.

  • Chapter 13

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 13. Lois, tell us what's going on. Lois: Well, Peter, it's all about the dying prophecies of Elisha. He tells the king of Israel that God is going to help Israel’s army defeat the Arameans.

  • Chapter 14

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 14. It starts off with Amaziah, king of Judah, who divides his army into two sections, one to go fight against the Edomites, and one to fight against the Ammonites. Brian: Oh, like in the movie 300!

  • Chapter 15

    Peter: Alright fam, let's talk about 2 Kings 15. So, Azariah becomes King of Judah, and he does what is right in the eyes of the Lord. He even destroys the high places and the Asherah poles. Lois: Yeah, and he gets rid of the idols and the carvings too.

  • Chapter 16

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 16. Uh, let's see. So basically, King Ahaz of Judah goes to Damascus and meets with King Tiglath-Pileser of Syria. Oh Lois: Oh, like the Pileser from the movie "Caddyshack"! Peter: Yeah, like that.

  • Chapter 17

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 17. Lois: Okay, let's hear it. Peter: So the Lord was really angry with Israel and he had decided to punish them by uprooting them from their homeland and sending them into exile.

  • Chapter 18

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 18. It's all about Hezekiah, who was king of Judah. Lois: Hezekiah was a righteous king and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He got rid of all the altars and idols that had been set up outside the temple.

  • Chapter 19

    Peter: Alright, so, uh, 2 Kings 19. We got King Hezekiah here, who's getting a message from this guy, Sennacherib, who's like, "Hey, give me all your stuff or I'm gonna storm your city." Hezekiah goes to the Lord and then Isaiah sends a message back to Sennacherib saying, "You know what, don't even bother, God's got this.

  • Chapter 20

    Peter Griffin: Alright, so 2 Kings 20. It starts off with Hezekiah getting sick, and Isaiah the prophet coming to visit him and telling him he's gonna die. But then Hezekiah prays to God and God gives him an extra fifteen years to live.

  • Chapter 21

    Lois: Alright, let's see what we got here in 2 Kings 21. Peter: Yeah, it's gonna be a wild ride. King Manasseh was really into the whole idol worship thing. Lois: Gross. Brian: Yeah, but the Lord was really angry.

  • Chapter 22

    Peter: Alright, so in 2 Kings 22, Josiah, the King of Judah, was cleaning up the Temple that had been all messed up by his father and grandfather. Lois: Oh wow, that's so noble of him! Peter: Yeah, and he found this scroll that was all about how God was gonna punish everyone for all the bad stuff that had been done.

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 23 starts with King Josiah... Brian: Wait, wasn't he the one who was like a rockstar king? Lois: Yeah, you know, the one who was a righteous dude and all that? Stewie: That's right, he was like the Justin Bieber of his day.

  • Chapter 24

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 24. This one is about a guy named Jehoiakim who refuses to pay tribute to a dude named Nebuchadnezzar, and is taken off to exile in Babylon. Lois: That's bad news, Peter. Joe: Yeah, but it gets worse.

  • Chapter 25

    Peter: Alright, so 2 Kings 25... Okay, so basically there's this guy, Nebuchadnezzar, and he's like this king, you know? And he's attacking Jerusalem and he captures the city and he's all like, "Yo, I'm gonna take all the stuff, like the treasures and the people, and I'm gonna take them to Babylon.
