Lois: Alright, so 2 Kings 11...where do I even begin? Peter: Well, let me tell ya. This chapter starts off with Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab, who became queen after her son Ahaziah died.

Lois: Oh, yeah, I remember her from the last episode. She was pretty wicked.

Peter: Yeah, she didn't really care for the Lord, so she destroyed all the royal heirs to make sure she stayed in power.

Cleveland: But then Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, saves the baby prince Joash and hides him in the temple of the Lord.

Quagmire: Ah, a classic hide-and-seek. Like in that movie The Goonies.

Lois: Yeah, and then the priest Joiada helps Joash reclaim the throne.

Peter: Yeah, he stages a coup and they kill Athaliah. Then they make Joash king and he starts restoring the temple of the Lord.

Cleveland: Yeah, it's like a biblical version of The Avengers.

Quagmire: Yeah, and then at the end of the chapter, the people of Judah celebrate and make a covenant with the king to follow God and the laws.

Lois: And that's the end of 2 Kings 11!

Peter: Wait, what about that wacky subplot about the captain of the guard?

Quagmire: Oh yeah, that guy was like something out of a sitcom. He was always getting into some kind of trouble.

Cleveland: Yeah, I guess that's a cliffhanger for the next episode.
