Peter (as narrator): Alright, folks, it's time for a Bible summary like you've never heard before. This one is from the book of Amos, chapter 1. Lois: Ugh, I'm not sure I even know what Amos is. Peter: Well, Lois, it's one of the books of the Old Testament. →

Peter: Alright, so in Amos 2, we learn that the Lord is punishing the nation of Israel for their wickedness. He says they’re going to be destroyed by the sword, they’re gonna be exiled, and they’re gonna be taken away. →

Peter: Alright, so Amos 3 is about God's judgement. Lois: Oh, jeez. That doesn't sound good. Stewie: You know what sounds really good? That new episode of The Simpsons I saw last week. Brian: Alright, alright, back to Amos 3. →

Peter: Alright, here we go. This is Amos 4. Lois: Hey, that's the chapter where God tells the people of Israel to stop worshipping idols and stuff, right? Stewie: Yeah, that's right, Mom. God's all like, "Hey, you guys gotta start following me, or else!" →

Peter: Alright, here's Amos 5. Lois: Why don't you just say what it's about, Peter? Peter: (sighing) Alright, here goes. Amos 5 is all about how God hates the way the Israelites were living. He's mad at them for not following his laws and not caring about justice. →

Peter: Alright, so Amos 6. Alright, so it's like this. There's some wicked people livin' in Israel, and they think they're so fancy and high class, sippin' their lattes and livin' in their big fancy houses. →

Peter: Alright, so here we go with Amos 7. So, God was talking to Amos and showing him some visions. In the first vision, God showed Amos a swarm of locusts, and then a fire to consume the land. God was gonna punish the people of Israel. →

Peter: Okay so Amos 8 starts off with Amos, the prophet, seeing a vision of a basket of ripe fruit. Lois: That sounds delicious. Stewie: What do you expect? It's the Bible, not a food network show. →

Peter: Alright, so this is Amos 9. Meg, you wanna give it a shot? Meg: Sure, Dad. It starts off with God saying he's gonna punish the people of Israel for their wicked ways. Then he talks about how he's gonna make their enemies come and take their land from them, and he won't be able to save them from it. →
