Peter: Alright, here we go. This is Amos 4.

Lois: Hey, that's the chapter where God tells the people of Israel to stop worshipping idols and stuff, right?

Stewie: Yeah, that's right, Mom. God's all like, "Hey, you guys gotta start following me, or else!"

Brian: I can relate to that. I'm always trying to get people to follow me, but no one ever does.

Peter: Yeah, God is really mad at the Israelites for not following Him, and He's telling them, "If you don't start worshiping me, I'm gonna punish you with drought, famine, and all sorts of bad stuff!"

Lois: Wow, that sounds pretty serious.

Stewie: Yeah, and then God goes on to say, "You can try to escape, but you won't be able to. I'm gonna be there, watching you, like that creepy guy in the horror movie!"

Brian: Wait, did he really say that?

Stewie: No, I'm just making a pop culture reference.

Peter: Anyway, God also talks about how He's been punishing them for a long time, but they still haven't learned their lesson. So He's gonna keep punishing them until they finally get it.

Lois: Wow, that's so sad.

Stewie: Yeah, God's all like, "You can thank me later, but right now, I'm gonna have to punish you!"
