    Lois: Alright, let's start with Zechariah 1. Peter: Wait, I thought we were watching an episode of Family Guy. Lois: Peter, just listen. It says, "In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah"

  • Chapter 2

    Peter: Alright, so, Zechariah 2 starts off with the Angel of the Lord standing on Jerusalem's wall, telling the people to flee from Babylon and return to their homeland. He promises God's protection and says that the Lord will be a wall of fire around them.

    Peter: Alright, let's see what's in the Bible. Uhh, Zechariah 3... Lois: Ooh, sounds important! Cleveland: Yeah, what does it say? Peter: Well, it's about this dude named Joshua who's standing in front of the angel of the Lord.

    Peter: Yo, so this chapter of the Bible is all about God showing up and telling the prophet Zechariah that the Temple is gonna be rebuilt and he should stay strong and have faith. Lois: Alright, so then what?

  • Chapter 5

    1-4 Peter: Alright everyone, I'm gonna give you the rundown on Zechariah 5. Let's see here, it starts off with a vision of this kind of like, flying scroll. Lois: Like an airplane? Peter: No, not really.

  • Chapter 6

    Peter: Alright, so this is Zechariah 6. Let me see if I can summarize this for you. So, God sends four chariots out of the north and they go running around the whole world. The chariots are powered by red horses, black horses, white horses and dappled horses.

    Brian: Okay, so Zechariah 7 is all about how the people in Jerusalem had to change their ways and learn to be more compassionate and generous. Peter: Oh yeah? So what kind of things did they have to do?

  • Chapter 8

    [Scene: Peter is sitting on the couch reading a Bible.] Lois: Peter, what are you doing? Peter: I'm reading the Bible. I'm up to Zechariah 8. Lois: What's it about? Peter: It's about how God tells the people to return to Him and how He will bless them and make Jerusalem great again.

  • Chapter 9

    Peter: Alright, this is Zechariah 9. So, here's the deal: God's gonna punish some of the wicked people, but he'll also show mercy on Jerusalem. He'll do it by riding into town on a donkey and all the people will cheer for him.

  • Chapter 10

    Peter: Alright, so Zechariah 10. Let's see. It starts off with God talking about how the shepherds are not doing a very good job at taking care of the sheep, so he's gonna come help them. Lois: Like that episode of The Office where Michael Scott was the "World's Best Boss" and he was supposed to take care of the interns but then he just ended up playing video games with them instead?

  • Chapter 11

    Peter: Alright, so Zechariah 11. In this chapter, there's this whole thing about God using a shepherd to take care of his sheep. And then, basically, the shepherd gets fed up with the sheep being stupid and not following God's commands and stuff, so he quits.

  • Chapter 12

    Peter: Alright, so this is Zechariah 12. It's basically about God coming down to Earth and smiting all the enemies of the Israelites, yo. Lois: Really? How does he do that? Peter: Well, he's gonna make them so thirsty they can't even stand up.

  • Chapter 13

    Peter: Alright, so what's this chapter all about? Lois: Well, Peter, it's about the Lord making a declaration that he will remove the names of false prophets from the land, and then he goes on to describe a fountain of cleansing for the people of Judah.

  • Chapter 14

    Peter: Alright, so, in Zechariah 14, God is gonna "smite" all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Lois: Oh, my goodness, that's terrible! Brian: Yeah, it's like the ending of "Avengers: Endgame" but with less Iron Man.
