Peter: Alright, so this is Zechariah 12. It's basically about God coming down to Earth and smiting all the enemies of the Israelites, yo.

Lois: Really? How does he do that?

Peter: Well, he's gonna make them so thirsty they can't even stand up. And then he's gonna turn their own weapons against them. Like, take their own swords and spears and use them to stab them or something.

Lois: Wow. That sounds pretty hardcore.

Peter: Yeah, it's like the old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, stab 'em."

Joe: (dies laughing)

Peter: Anyway, then God's gonna make the Israelites real strong and brave, so they can fight off their enemies.

Lois: Well, that's nice.

Peter: Yeah, but it's not just about making them strong. He's also gonna give them a spirit of grace and repentance so they can turn away from their sins and start living right.

Lois: That sounds like a good idea.

Peter: Yeah, and then God's gonna put a spirit of mourning over Jerusalem, so that everyone will be reminded of their sins and turn away from them.

Lois: Alright, that sounds like a good plan.

Peter: Yeah, and then God's gonna put a spirit of unity over the Israelites so they can all come together and live in harmony.

Lois: That's a nice way to end things.

Peter: Yeah, it's like that old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, just hug 'em." (chuckles)
