Joe: Alright, so we have a Bible expert on the show today and we're gonna ask them to tell us about the book of Zechariah. Alright, so what’s Zechariah all about?
Expert: Sure. Well, Zechariah is the 12th book of the Old Testament. It’s a book of prophecy written by the prophet Zechariah. It’s mainly focused on the coming of the messiah and the restoration of Israel.
Joe: Wow, that sounds pretty intense. So what’s in chapter 12?
Expert: Chapter 12 is mainly focused on the judgement of God on the nations that oppose Him. It talks about how God will pour out His wrath on them and how they will be destroyed. It also talks about how God will protect and restore Jerusalem and the people of Israel. It’s a pretty intense chapter.
Joe: That sounds pretty intense. So what does it say about God?
Expert: Well, it says that God is a God of justice and judgement, but He is also a God of mercy and grace. He will ultimately protect and restore His people, but He will also bring judgement on those who oppose Him.
Joe: Interesting. So why is this chapter important?
Expert: It’s important because it reminds us that God is ultimately in control and that He will ultimately bring justice and restoration to His people. It’s also a reminder that we should be living our lives in obedience to God so that we can be found faithful when He comes to judge the world.
