Peter: Alright, so Zechariah 11. In this chapter, there's this whole thing about God using a shepherd to take care of his sheep. And then, basically, the shepherd gets fed up with the sheep being stupid and not following God's commands and stuff, so he quits.

Lois: Well, that's not very nice.

Peter: I know, but then God punishes the shepherd for it by taking away his staff and breaking it in two.

Joe: You know, this reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons where Homer becomes a shepherd and gets into all sorts of trouble.

Peter: Yeah, yeah, I think I remember that. Anyway, then God sets up a bargain with the shepherd and tells him he'll pay him a certain amount of money if he takes care of the sheep.

Cleveland: Wow, that's really messed up.

Peter: Yeah, but then God decides to punish the people for not following him and sets up a war between two shepherds.

Quagmire: Talk about a Battle of the Shepherds. Man, that's gonna be epic.

Peter: Yeah, it sure is. And then the chapter ends with God saying that he'll gather the people of Judah together and bring them back to their own land.
