• Chapter 1

    So folks, this is Zechariah, Chapter 1. Now, the Lord sends Zechariah a vision of four horns and four craftsmen. And then four angelic horsemen show up! But, you know, whatever. Then the angel of the Lord tells Zechariah that the Lord is angry with the nations that have been oppressing Israel.

  • Chapter 2

    Well, folks, it looks like the prophet Zechariah is back with another chapter of his work! In Chapter 2, he's got a vision of a man with a measuring line in his hand. And then, out of nowhere, four chariots come out of heaven, pulled by horses of different colors.

  • Chapter 3

    "Hey, it's Norm MacDonald here with a summary of Zechariah 3. This chapter's a real doozy, folks. It starts with an angel taking Joshua the high priest and accusing him of being a sinner and a cheat. The angel then tells Joshua that he is going to clean him up and make him stand as a symbol of something bigger.

  • Chapter 4

    Hey, what’s up, everybody? It’s Norm MacDonald here with a summary of Zechariah 4. So, this chapter starts with the angel showing Zechariah a lampstand made of pure gold with a bowl on top and two olive trees, one on each side.

  • Chapter 5

    Well, folks, turns out God's got another message for us in the book of Zechariah. In chapter 5, he reveals a vision of a scroll, flying back and forth across the land, and inside it is a warning of judgment for all the bad apples out there.

  • Chapter 6

    Well, folks, it's been a wild ride for our protagonist Zechariah, and this chapter is no different. He's getting visions from God of four chariots, each with a different colored horse, and they're all heading in different directions.

  • Chapter 7

    Hey, you know the book of Zechariah? Well, chapter 7 is all about how God is mad at the Israelites because they've been ignoring His laws. So God sends this message to the people: "Stop your evil practices, start doing what's right, and show kindness and mercy to each other.

  • Chapter 8

    Well, folks, it's time for the weekly Bible recap and we've got a real doozy for ya today: Zechariah 8. This one's a real head-scratcher, but here goes...Zechariah basically tells us that God wants us to return to Jerusalem and to start living better lives.

  • Chapter 9

    Good evening, I'm Norm MacDonald and this is Weekend Update. Here's the latest on Zechariah 9. The Lord will come to save His people and bring judgment on their enemies. He will deliver them from their oppressors and restore them to the land.

  • Chapter 10

    Alright folks, we're nearing the end of the book of Zechariah, and you can tell because chapter ten is a real doozy. God has had enough of his people not trusting him and not listening to his prophets, and he's ready to kick some butt.

  • Chapter 11

    Well, folks, looks like Zechariah 11 is a real barnburner. The Lord tells Zechariah to take two staffs - one called “Bonds” and one called “Kindness” - and break them in front of the people. That's right, folks - the Lord is telling Zechariah to break some stuff.

  • Chapter 12

    Well, folks, this is a rather strange chapter in the Bible. Zechariah 12 starts off with the Lord declaring that he is going to make Jerusalem a cup of trembling - it's a metaphor, folks - and then it gets even weirder.

  • Chapter 13

    Well, folks, what a chapter! Zechariah 13 has it all: a call for repentance, a prophecy of the coming of the Messiah, and some good old-fashioned livestock-on-livestock violence. It's a wild ride! In the first part, God commands His people to repent and turn away from their sins.

  • Chapter 14

    Well, folks, looks like we’re here for the finale of the Book of Zechariah. In chapter 14, God tells us that the Day of the Lord is coming, and it’s not going to be pleasant. He’s gonna make Jerusalem the center of the world, and the survivors of the battle that’s coming are gonna have to come to Jerusalem to worship.
