    Alright, folks, so here's the scoop on Hosea 1. Basically, God tells Hosea to marry a prostitute named Gomer, which is a pretty weird thing to do - but hey, it makes for a good story, I guess. So Hosea does, and it's pretty messed up.

  • Chapter 2

    Well, folks, it's time for a very special chapter of the Bible: Hosea 2. This one is all about relationships, and boy, do we have some drama. God is really mad at Israel and Judah for their sins, so he's gonna punish them, hard.

    Well, folks, Hosea 3 is a real wild ride. Basically, God commands Hosea to buy his unfaithful wife back from her new lover in exchange for 15 shekels of silver and a bushel of barley. That's right, 15 shekels and a bushel of barley - what a deal! So Hosea does it, but not without making a few digs at her in the process.

    Well, Hosea 4 is a real downer, folks. The Lord is really mad at his people for worshiping false gods. He says that the people's sins have caused the land to mourn and their worship of idols has led to spiritual and physical death.

    Well, folks, it's time for a chapter from the Bible and this one's from Hosea 5. So, what happens? Well, God is not happy with the people of Israel and the priests of Bethel. He says he's going to punish them for their wickedness.

  • Chapter 6

    Alright, folks, let's check out Hosea 6. Alright, so it starts off with the people of Israel crying out for God to show them mercy. But then, get this, God says to them that even though He does love them, He's gonna have to punish them for their sins.

    So, Hosea 7. Here's the deal: Israel has been acting like a bunch of naughty children and God is really not happy. He's like, "They do not acknowledge me! They keep on sinning! I'm so mad, I'm gonna have to punish them".

    Alright, so in Hosea 8, God's all like, "Hey Israel, I remember when you first asked me to be your God and that was cool and all. But now you've been sacrificing to your idols and neglecting me, so I'm not happy.

  • Chapter 9

    Well, Hosea 9 is a real doozy. God is really mad at the people of Israel for worshiping other gods and not living up to the covenant. So he tells them to eat and drink but not enjoy it, because he's gonna make them an object lesson for the world.

  • Chapter 10

    Hosea 10: Norm MacDonald here with a breakdown of the latest chapter of the Bible, Hosea 10. So, Israel has been sowing in wickedness, and now it looks like they're gonna reap in sorrow. The Lord has been warning them for a while that their sin was gonna catch up to them and now it's time to pay the piper.

    Ah, Hosea 12. Ya gotta love it! Ya know, this chapter is all about Ephraim, and how he's running around, doing all kinds of crazy things. He's been making all kinds of trouble for God, and God ain't too happy about it.

    Well, folks, in the book of Hosea, Chapter 13, God's really had enough of the Israelites. He says they've turned their backs on him and are worshiping idols instead. He says their sin has made them like a wild donkey, and he's going to punish them for it.

  • Chapter 14

    Hosea 14: The people of Israel are in a bad way. They've turned away from God and they're really reaping what they've sown. God promises to forgive them, but only if they repent and turn back to Him. And if they do, He'll make them like a tree planted by a river, with lots of foliage and fruit.
