Good evening, I'm Norm MacDonald here with a summary of Hosea 11. The Lord complains that His chosen people have abandoned Him, despite all of His loving care and protection - kinda like when your girlfriend leaves you but you've been really nice to her. So He decides to punish them, and sends them off to Assyria. But then He decides to take them back, because He really loves them - like that same girlfriend you just can't quit. The Lord continues to chastise His people, but also reminds them of His love, saying that He has been like a father to them. That's kind of like if your dad was mad at you and then said, "But I still love you." Awkward.
