    Hey, folks, Norm MacDonald here for Weekend Update. Let's get into it. This week, we're reading the book of Micah, and it's a doozy. In chapter 1, it's all about God punishing the folks of Judah and Jerusalem for their wickedness.

  • Chapter 2

    "Hey, how's it going? This is Norm MacDonald here with the latest from the Book of Micah. So, in Chapter 2 we've got some bad news: apparently folks are conspiring to take away the land that God has given to the people of Israel.

  • Chapter 3

    Hey everyone, this is Norm MacDonald with a summary of Micah 3. So, it's basically the same as the other chapters of Micah, just a lot of God ragging on the leaders of Israel. He's pretty mad at them, basically calling them out for not doing their jobs and being corrupt.

  • Chapter 4

    Well, folks, it's time to take a look at the book of Micah, and this week we're on chapter 4. So let's dive in. Apparently, the Lord's plan for the future is to have people from all nations gather in Jerusalem, so that the Lord can be their teacher and judge.

  • Chapter 5

    So, in Micah 5, an oracle foretells the birth of a ruler from Bethlehem, which is like, really small. The ruler is gonna be a big deal, though, because God says they will be the one to deliver Israel from its enemies.

  • Chapter 6

    So here we are with Micah 6, and boy oh boy, let me tell ya, it's full of some tough love. God's really laying into the Israelites for all their misdeeds. He's like, 'What do I need from you? What do I want from you? Well, I want you to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with me, okay?' So it's like, God's giving them a second chance, but they need to put in the work and not mess it up this time.

  • Chapter 7

    Well, it looks like Micah 7 is a real bummer. It's a bunch of depressing prophecy, but with a few rays of hope here and there. Micah says that wickedness is rampant, everyone is a liar and friend is no more trustworthy than an enemy.
