Batman: The Lord tells Hosea to take him a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord. Robin: But the Lord says that it will be a sign that the children of Israel will come back to the Lord, and shall seek him with all their heart and with all their soul. →

Batman: "Gothamites, we must pay heed to the words of Hosea 4! The Lord accuses His people of no knowledge, and their leaders of having gone astray. Catwoman: Oh, how droll. What else does it say? Batman: Well, the Lord proclaims that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, and that their priests have rejected the law. →

Batman: Robin, it's time to review Hosea 5! Robin: What does this chapter say about the people of Israel, Batman? Batman: Well, Robin, the people of Israel are in deep trouble because of their rebelliousness and idolatry. →

Batman: Robin, the chapter of Hosea 6 is a call for repentance. Robin: Repentance! Isn't that when people turn away from their wicked ways and make a change for the better? Joker: Ha ha ha! How quaint! I thought we were talking about the Bible, not a preschool morality lesson! →

Joker: *evil cackle* I've got a plan for world domination! Robin: Not so fast, Joker! Batman and I are here to stop you! Batman: That's right, Joker! We can see what's going on here! The Lord is not happy with the people of Israel, they're like a cake that's not turned out right. →

Batman: Ah, Hosea 8. You see, Robin, God has punished Israel for their sins. Robin: What did they do wrong, Batman? Batman: They have broken their covenant with God and their altars are full of wickedness. →

Chapter 9
Batman: Robin, the people of Israel have forsaken the Lord and have been faithless to Him. Robin: Oh no! That's terrible! What will happen to them? Batman: Well, the Lord will punish them for their faithlessness. →

Chapter 10
Batman: Look Robin, Hosea 10 is talking about a vineyard full of bad fruit! Robin: Holy sour grapes, Batman! Joker: That's right, Robin! This vineyard is full of lies and sin. The people have forgotten the Lord and are worshiping idols. →

Batman: It's time to review Hosea 11, Robin! The Lord told Hosea to remind Israel of how He called them out of Egypt as a small child, but now they have rejected Him and His laws. Robin: Oh no, Batman! How could they turn their backs on such a loving God? →

Batman: Ah, Hosea Chapter 12. The Lord had often reproached the Israelites for their sins and false gods. Robin: How right you are, Batman! The Lord calls out the Israelites for their idolatry, lack of faith, and lack of love for God. →

Joker: Ha ha ha! Prepare to meet your doom, Batman and Robin! Batman: Not so fast, Joker! We've got an important lesson to learn from Hosea 13 first! Robin: That's right! This chapter is all about God's judgment on Israel for their stubbornness and idolatry. →

Batman: Holy Hosea, Robin! We must remind the people of Israel to turn back to God and to seek his mercy and forgiveness. Robin: Yes, Batman, that is what the prophet Hosea is saying in Chapter 14. He tells them to turn away from empty idols and to trust in God. →
