• Chapter 1

    Batman: Robin, something terrible has happened in the land of Judah! Nehemiah: What is it, Batman? Batman: Nehemiah, the Cup-Bearer to the King of Persia, has just heard from some of his people that the walls of Jerusalem have been destroyed, and the gates have been burned down.

  • Chapter 2

    Batman: Greetings, Robin. I had an interesting dream last night. Robin: What was it about, Batman? Batman: I dreamt that I was appointed by the King of Persia to go to Jerusalem and rebuild its walls.

  • Chapter 3

    Batman: Robin, the people of Jerusalem have started rebuilding the wall around the city. Robin: Holy construction site, Batman! Nehemiah is leading the charge, but he's not alone. Batman: That's right, Robin.

  • Chapter 4

    Batman: Robin! Look! The people of Israel have been rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem! Robin: Holy building blocks, Batman! They must be determined to finish the job! Batman: Indeed, Robin. Nehemiah and his crew have worked tirelessly for months, despite facing much opposition from nearby enemies.

  • Chapter 5

    Joker: Ha ha ha! What a mess this city is in! Robin: Oh no, Joker! It's Nehemiah 5! Batman: That's right, Robin. Nehemiah is trying to restore the city of Jerusalem and its inhabitants. He's addressing the people, saying that their fellow Jews are being oppressed and treated unfairly.

  • Chapter 6

    Batman: "Nehemiah 6 - the plot to stop us from rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem has failed! Robin: Holy tremendous success, Batman! Joker: Oh, you're too late! I had attempted to make the rebuilding of the walls as difficult as possible by sending threatening letters, sending out false rumors, and even trying to get Nehemiah to come out and meet with me.

  • Chapter 7

    Batman: Robin, the people of Israel have been rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, and they’ve been successful! Robin: Holy success, Batman! What’s the situation now? Batman: The wall is finished and the gates have been set up, and Nehemiah has appointed people to guard them.

  • Chapter 8

    Batman: Robin, something special is happening in Jerusalem! Robin: What is it, Batman? Batman: Nehemiah and the people of Jerusalem have gathered together to hear the words of God read from the Book of the Law.

  • Chapter 9

    Batman: Old Nehemiah, he was something else! He gathered the people of Judah together, and they all confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors. Robin: Wow, that's a big deal, Batman. Even the most hardened criminals can show some remorse.

  • Chapter 10

    Robin: Holy smokes, Batman! Look at the commitment of the people in Nehemiah Chapter 10! They’re vowing to follow the Law of God and keep His commandments! Batman: Indeed, Robin. The people have agreed to keep the Sabbath holy, to not intermarry with those of other nations, to give a tenth of their crops to the Temple, and even to pay an annual Temple tax.

  • Chapter 11

    Batman: Robin, it's time for us to tackle the Book of Nehemiah! Robin: Holy Bible Scripture, Batman! What does it say? Batman: It tells us of the great city of Jerusalem and how the people of Israel were determined to resettle it.

  • Chapter 12

    Batman: "Holy temple restoration, Robin! Nehemiah and the people of Judah have been working hard to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and now they're dedicating it with a huge celebration!" Robin: "Gosh, Batman, it sounds like quite the festive occasion!"

  • Chapter 13

    Robin: Holy smokes Batman, it looks like Nehemiah's hard work is paying off! Batman: Indeed, Robin. The people of Jerusalem are keeping the Sabbath, and Nehemiah has put an end to the profaning of the holy day.
