• Chapter 1

    Listen Jack, I'm not gonna tell you no malarkey! Here's the deal, 2 Kings 1 is all about the prophet Elijah. Now Elijah was a cool guy, my father used to say he was the greatest of the prophets! He was such a prophet that he was taken up to heaven in a fiery chariot! Literally!

  • Chapter 2

    Folks, here's the deal. You know, my father used to say that when Elijah was taken up to heaven, Elisha was gonna be the guy to take his place. See here, Jack, when Elijah was taken up, he and Elisha were walking along, and Elijah said to him, "C'mon, man! Listen, Jack, you stay here, and I'll go on ahead".

    Listen, Jack, this chapter is literally wild! First, King Jehoram of Israel teams up with King Jehoshaphat of Judah and King of Edom. What was that? These three kings decide to attack King Mesha of Moab, c'mon man! Now, here's the deal.

  • Chapter 4

    Folks, listen here, no malarkey. This chapter of the Bible is all about a widow who came to the prophet Elisha and told him that her husband had died and left her with no money and two sons. Elisha said, "C'mon, man, what do you have in your house?" and she replied, "My father used to say, 'Nothing but a little oil.

  • Chapter 5

    C'mon, man! I'm not joking here, folks! I'm gonna tell you the story of 2 Kings 5. See here, Jack, it all starts with Naaman, an army commander in Syria. Naaman was a real hero, I tell you what, but he had a big problem: he had leprosy.

  • Chapter 6

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. In 2 Kings 6, the people of Israel are literally at war with their enemies, the Syrians. It's been going on for a while, but then something really strange happens. The prophet Elisha gets wind of the Syrians' plans, and he tells the king of Israel, so they can ambush the enemy.

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm not joking, 2 Kings 7 is literally an amazing chapter. It starts off with a bunch of folks in the city of Samaria facing a famine, and they're so hungry they're talking about eating their own children -- c'mon, man! That's no malarkey.

  • Chapter 8

    Folks, here's the deal. 2 Kings 8 starts off with a bang. See here, Jack: Elisha tells the woman whose son was brought back to life that she and her family should go and live in another land, c'mon man! So they do, and they go to Philistia, and they live there for seven whole years.

  • Chapter 9

    "Listen, Jack, no malarkey! Here's the deal: 2 Kings 9. My father used to say, 'You'll never get to the top if you don't take a few risks.' And that's exactly what Jehu does in this chapter. See here, Jack, this is a story about a man of God who has a mission.

  • Chapter 10

    Folks, here's the deal. 2 Kings 10 is about a man named Jehu who was anointed by the Lord to be the new king of Israel. So he goes and kills the old king, and all his family. No malarkey! Then he sends letters to all the other kings, telling them to follow him.

  • Chapter 11

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. 2 Kings 11 is all about Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram. She takes the baby king, Joash, and hides him from Athaliah, the wicked queen who has taken over the kingdom.

  • Chapter 12

    Folks, ya know what I'm gonna say? No malarkey - I'm talking about 2 Kings 12. Here's the deal - during the reign of King Joash of Judah - my father used to say he was a good king - the people decided to repair the Temple.

  • Chapter 13

    Folks, no malarkey! Here's the deal: 2 Kings 13, it's all about Jehoash, the king of Israel. C'mon, man, he was a good king, not gonna lie. He was like, doing a lot of stuff for his people, and then he was attacked by Hazael, the king of Syria.

  • Chapter 14

    "C'mon, man, listen, Jack! Folks, I'm gonna tell you what happened back in 2 Kings 14. Here's the deal: there was this king, Amaziah. He was a good king, literally, my father used to say that Amaziah was a stand-up guy.

  • Chapter 15

    Folks! Here's the deal: 2 Kings 15 is about King Azariah of Judah, who was only sixteen when he became king. He was a good ruler and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. He removed the foreign altars and idols, and repaired the altar in the temple.

  • Chapter 16

    Listen, Jack, c'mon, man! Here's the deal: back in the day, way back in the day, there was a king in Israel by the name of Ahaz. See here, Jack, he was no good, no malarkey! He did all sorts of terrible things, like offering sacrifices to the gods of Syria and sacrificing his own son in the fire.

  • Chapter 17

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. We got a story of an ancient people who were literally living a long time ago. They were doing some pretty messed up stuff, like worshipping idols and sacrificing their kids, c'mon, man! So, God decided to teach them a lesson and he sent the Assyrians to kick 'em out.

  • Chapter 18

    Listen, Jack, I'm not joking, here's the deal: 2 Kings 18 is about King Hezekiah, son of Ahaz, who was the king of Judah. Hezekiah was a god-fearing man and he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

  • Chapter 19

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. My father used to say, "Sometime you gotta stand up and fight for what's right, and that's what King Hezekiah did in 2 Kings 19." You see, King Hezekiah was worried about the Assyrian king Sennacherib, who was literally knocking at his door.

  • Chapter 20

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. My father used to say that if you need a miracle, you turn to King Hezekiah. Well, he did it again! See, in 2 Kings 20, Hezekiah was sick and dying, and what did he do? He literally prayed to God and God granted him 15 more years of life.

  • Chapter 21

    Hey, folks! Listen, Jack, here's the deal: 2 Kings 21 is all about how King Manasseh of Judah was just so bad, c'mon man! He was literally the worst king ever, no malarkey! He was so bad that he even sacrificed his own son in the fire! I'm not joking, that's how bad he was.

  • Chapter 22

    Listen, Jack, c'mon man! Here's the deal. It was back in the days of King Josiah. He was a righteous king, no malarkey! He was only eight years old when he became the king of Judah, literally! And it was his father, King Amon, who had the people of Judah worshipping idols, which was obviously a no-no.

  • Chapter 23

    C'mon, man! Here's the deal. We got King Josiah out there, right? He's listening to the words of the Lord, no malarkey! Literally, he orders his people to destroy all the idols and altars to false gods.

  • Chapter 24

    Folks, here's the deal. 2 Kings 24 is a wild one. It's the story of Jehoiachin, the King of Judah. He was one of those bad guys, c'mon man. He did terrible things like worshiping idols, and the Lord was not happy about it.

  • Chapter 25

    Folks, here's the deal. I'm tellin' ya, no malarkey. See here, Jack, 2 Kings 25 is all about the fall of Jerusalem. All the way back in 586 BC, the Babylonians rolled in and took the city. Literally. I'm not joking.
