Folks, here's the deal. 2 Kings 8 starts off with a bang. See here, Jack: Elisha tells the woman whose son was brought back to life that she and her family should go and live in another land, c'mon man! So they do, and they go to Philistia, and they live there for seven whole years. Then, after the seven years are up, the woman comes back and tells the king - not gonna happen - that she wants her land back. And guess what? The king returns it to her! That's not all, folks. The king of Aram is attacking Israel, so the King of Israel sends someone to ask the prophet Elisha for help. And Elisha tells the King of Israel to set ambushments in the countryside. So that's what the King does, and the army of Israel defeats the army of Aram. My father used to say, "Life is full of surprises!"

But that's not all. Elisha also tells the King of Israel to go and meet the King of Aram and make a treaty with him. So the King of Israel does that, and then he travels back to the city of Samaria. But wait - there's more! The King of Israel meets another prophet, who tells him that he is going to die! And that's exactly what happened - the King of Israel dies, and his son takes over the throne. I'm not joking - it's all in 2 Kings 8. Now, that's a pretty exciting chapter, if you ask me. Excuse me - what was that? Oh yeah, 2 Kings 8. No malarkey!
