    Listen, Jack, here's the deal on Esther 1. King Ahasuerus was literally throwing a party and he was showing off his wealth to all the folks. It was a big deal, no malarkey! He showed off his riches in a seven day feast and then threw a banquet for all his nobles.

  • Chapter 2

    Listen, Jack, I don't have time to waste, so here's the deal - we're gonna have to talk about Esther 2. Now, it's a real long story, but I'm gonna give you the gist of it. So, it's a few years after the first chapter, and we're in the court of the King of Persia, King Xerxes.

  • Chapter 3

    Listen, Jack. Here's the deal with Esther 3. My father used to say that it's about a guy named Haman who was a big shot in the court of King Ahasuerus -- that's the ruler of Persia at the time. Well, Haman was so full of himself that he wanted all the people of the kingdom to bow down to him, and he got the king to make a law that said they had to do that.

  • Chapter 4

    Listen Jack, c'mon man, here's the deal: Esther was a righteous Jewish woman who was chosen to be queen of the Persian Empire. As you know, her people were in danger, so she had a plan. She asked all the Jews to fast for three days and nights, and then she would go before the king and hopefully he would listen to her.

  • Chapter 5

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. Esther had the guts to go to the King's court and plead for the lives of her people. She was bold, I tell you what. And it paid off! She was allowed to invite the king and Haman to a banquet.

  • Chapter 6

    Folks! Here's the deal. This is chapter 6 of Esther, and you know what? It's a doozy. See, the king was going through his books—literally, I'm not joking—and he came across a record of how Mordecai had saved the king's life a long time ago.

  • Chapter 7

    C'mon, man! Esther 7 tell us a story about a man named Haman, no malarkey! Here's the deal: Haman was so angry at Mordecai that he wanted to kill not just him, but all the Jews in the kingdom! Literally, he was so mad he built a gallows to hang Mordecai from.

  • Chapter 8

    Hey, folks, here's the deal. Esther 8 is an amazing Biblical chapter that literally changed the course of history. My father used to say, "If it wasn't for Esther 8 we'd all be speaking Persian!" See here, Jack, King Ahasuerus was feeling pretty down in the dumps after realizing he'd issued a death sentence on his own people.

  • Chapter 9

    Listen, Jack, the Jews in Shushan were really on a roll. They'd been fighting back against the enemies that wanted to destroy them and were winning every battle. So, here's the deal: the Jews gathered together, and Queen Esther and Mordecai told them to fast and beg for mercy from God so they could keep up their winning streak.

    Listen, Jack, this is Esther 10. Here's the deal - it's all about a guy named Mordecai. He was a big deal back in the day, folks. King Ahasuerus had promoted him to a very high position in the government.
