Listen, Jack, I don't have time to waste, so here's the deal - we're gonna have to talk about Esther 2. Now, it's a real long story, but I'm gonna give you the gist of it.
So, it's a few years after the first chapter, and we're in the court of the King of Persia, King Xerxes. He's got a bunch of servants, and one of them is named Mordecai. Mordecai is a wise man, and he's got a niece named Esther. Her parents have passed away, so Mordecai has been raising her like a daughter.
Anyway, the King has been looking for a new queen, and Mordecai tells Esther that she should enter the contest and try to be the new queen. Now, Esther's pretty scared, because she's afraid that the King won't like her, but Mordecai tells her not to worry, and so she enters the contest.
And, c'mon man, you know what happens - Esther's the one the King likes the most! So, the King makes her his queen, and Mordecai is so proud of her he can barely contain himself. He's literally jumping up and down and shouting in the streets.
So, Esther's the queen, and Mordecai's a hero. But, here's the thing - there's a bad guy in the court, and his name is Haman. He's a real creep and he hates Mordecai. So, Haman goes to the King and tells him to kill Mordecai, but because of Esther, the King doesn't do it.
Now, even though the King doesn't kill Mordecai, that doesn't stop Haman from trying. So, he devises a plan to have all the Jews in the kingdom killed. See here, Jack, it's a real bad plan, and I'm not joking.
But Esther's not gonna let that happen. She goes to the King and she pleads with him to save the Jews. And, I tell you what, the King listens to her and he saves the Jews. So, Mordecai and the Jews are saved and Haman is put to death.
Now, that's what happens in Esther 2, folks. It's an incredible story of courage and faith, and it's a reminder of how important it is to stand up for what's right. No malarkey!
