• Chapter 1

    Listen, Jack, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about here, so no malarkey, C'mon man! 2 Chronicles is all about the great King Solomon and his time on the throne of Israel. He was the son of King David, and the Lord raised him up to be a great leader.

  • Chapter 2

    Listen, Jack, c'mon, man. This Bible chapter is all about Solomon and his plan to build a Temple to honor God, no malarkey. My father used to say that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived, and I tell you what, he was right about that.

  • Chapter 3

    Folks, here's the deal. 2 Chronicles 3 tells us that Solomon built the Lord's temple in Jerusalem, and I'm not joking. It took seven years to build, and it was a real doozy. See here, Jack, my father used to say that the temple was literally made out of the finest materials and was 90 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 45 feet high.

  • Chapter 4

    Folks, here's the deal. Today in 2 Chronicles 4, we see King Solomon build the temple, and he's no slouch! Listen, Jack. He uses the finest materials and the most skilled craftsmen. I mean, literally, my father used to say it's a work of art - and I'm not joking.

  • Chapter 5

    Folks, I tell you what, here's the deal. I'm not gonna lie, the Bible says that a long, long time ago, King Solomon literally moved the Ark of the Covenant into the temple in Jerusalem. My father used to say that it was a big deal, and they celebrated with lots of music and singing - no malarkey! See here, Jack, they even used cymbals, harps, and trumpets! And what was that? They had 120 priests and Levites blowing trumpets! C'mon, man, I'm not joking! Listen, Jack, the Ark was placed in the Most Holy Place and the priests and Levites sacrificed thousands of sheep and oxen.

  • Chapter 6

    Folks! Here's the deal - 2 Chronicles 6 is all about Solomon building a temple - literally, a house of God. My father used to say, if you're gonna build a temple for the Lord, you better make sure it's done right.

  • Chapter 7

    Listen, Jack, c'mon man! Here's the deal. God appeared to Solomon after he finished building the temple, and said he'd forgive the people if they'd repent and pray. So Solomon prayed, and God appeared to him again in a dream and said He was pleased with the prayer and would answer it if the people kept His laws.

  • Chapter 8

    Folks! Listen, Jack. Here's the deal, I'm gonna tell you about this chapter of the Bible, 2 Chronicles 8. C'mon, man, it's a good one. So, a long time ago, Solomon had this plan to build the House of the Lord and build and store cities to keep their chariots and horses.

  • Chapter 9

    Hey, folks! C'mon, man, it's time to check out 2 Chronicles 9! Here's the deal: Solomon is dishing out some serious wisdom in this chapter. Literally, he was the wisest man ever, and my father used to say his wisdom was a gift from God.

  • Chapter 10

    Folks, here's the deal: 2 Chronicles 10 tells us about how Rehoboam was confronted by the people of Israel. Rehoboam had become king after the death of his father Solomon, and the people of Israel asked him to lighten the yoke of slavery.

  • Chapter 11

    Folks, I'm gonna tell you the deal. So here's the thing, 2 Chronicles 11 is about King Rehoboam of Judah. Now, my father used to say that Rehoboam was the son of Solomon, and he was the king of Judah, c'mon, man! So what happened? Well, Rehoboam built up a whole bunch of cities and fortified them, to protect his kingdom from the enemies.

  • Chapter 12

    Listen, Jack, I'm gonna tell you about 2 Chronicles 12. See here, Jack, this is the time when King Rehoboam of Judah was getting some trouble from Shishak, the king of Egypt. He had come up with a whole bunch of chariots and horsemen and was attacking the land.

  • Chapter 13

    Folks, I'm telling you, here's the deal with 2 Chronicles 13. It's all about King Abijah of Judah. He was determined to stand up to Jeroboam, the king of Israel. Abijah had 400,000 soldiers, while Jeroboam had 800,000.

  • Chapter 14

    Well, folks, here's the deal. I remember when I was younger, my father used to tell me about the way King Asa of Judah was always doing the right thing, see? He was a righteous man, I'll tell ya. Well, in 2 Chronicles 14, he gets a big win.

  • Chapter 15

    Folks, listen up. My father used to say that 2 Chronicles 15 was a story about a man named Asa. See here, Jack, Asa was a righteous king who made a covenant with God and removed all the idols from the land of Judah.

  • Chapter 16

    Folks, here's the deal, I'm not joking. See here, Jack, 2 Chronicles 16 is all about King Asa of Judah. Now, my father used to say that during his 35-year reign, he did a lot of good things. He removed the pagan idols and all the other malarkey that was going on, and he was a good king, no doubt about it.

  • Chapter 17

    Folks! Here's the deal. I'm not joking. No malarkey! 2 Chronicles 17 tells us about King Jehoshaphat of Judah. He was a righteous man and he followed the Lord. See here, Jack. He appointed judges throughout the land of Judah and Benjamin, and he sent them to the cities.

  • Chapter 18

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm not joking, I tell you what my father used to say, in 2 Chronicles 18: many years ago, literaly, we learn about King Jehoshaphat and the kings of Israel and Judah. C'mon, man! They all decided to fight against the army of Aram.

  • Chapter 19

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: no malarkey! In 2 Chronicles 19, we see King Jehoshaphat, who did a lot of good things for his kingdom. He set up judges throughout the land and then he told them, "Ya'll gotta judge with the fear of the Lord.

  • Chapter 20

    "C'mon, man, listen up, Jack! So, we're talkin' about 2 Chronicles 20 here and, folks, let me tell you, it is a doozy! Here's the deal: King Jehoshaphat faced a huge threat. Literally, it was a huge army coming right at him and his people.

  • Chapter 21

    Folks, here's the deal. See here, Jack, 2 Chronicles 21 is about King Jehoram of Judah. His father, King Jehoshaphat, had been a good king, but Jehoram was not. He did evil things and God was not happy.

  • Chapter 22

    C'mon, man! Here's the deal: 2 Chronicles 22 is about King Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram who became king of Judah. See here, Jack: Ahaziah was only 22 years old when he became king and he really wanted to do what was right, but his counselors were telling him to do bad things.

  • Chapter 23

    Folks, here's the deal. C'mon, man, if you don't remember what happened in the book of 2 Chronicles, let me tell you what. Ah, see here, Jack, this chapter is all about King Jehoiada and his plan to restore the Davidic Dynasty.

  • Chapter 24

    Folks, c'mon, man! Have you heard the story of Jehoiada, the priest? Here's the deal. He was a real stand-up guy, literally. He arranged for the King of Judah, Joash, to be anointed at the temple and he organized the Levites in the service of the Lord.

  • Chapter 25

    Listen, Jack, my father used to say - no malarkey - that the Lord gives us the strength to do what's right. That's exactly what happened in 2 Chronicles 25. See here, Jack, King Amaziah was just 26 years old and he was already doing the Lord's work.

    Folks! Listen, Jack. Here's the deal. King Uzziah, c'mon, man, he was a righteous king. He did good in the eyes of the Lord and in the eyes of the people. He was like, literally the best king ever and his fame went throughout the whole land.

  • Chapter 27

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm talking about 2 Chronicles 27, folks. This is about King Jotham of Judah. He was the son of Uzziah, and he reigned over Judah for sixteen years. He did right in the eyes of the Lord, c'mon man.

  • Chapter 28

    C'mon, man! Let me tell ya, folks. Here's the deal. 2 Chronicles 28 is all about King Ahaz of Judah and his literal downfall. My father used to say, "If you don't learn from history, you're doomed to repeat it".

  • Chapter 29

    Folks, here's the deal. 2 Chronicles 29 is all about cleaning up the temple, c'mon man! King Hezekiah took the lead, and he was not gonna let the place go to ruin. He was like, 'Let's get this place sparkled, folks!' (My father used to say, 'A clean house is a sign of a wasted life.

    Hey, folks, c'mon man! Listen, Jack, here's the deal. It's 2 Chronicles 30. So, you know, a long time ago, back in the day, King Hezekiah was like, "Let's have a big festival and worship the Lord together, because it's been years since we did that last" and so everyone was like "yeah, let's do it!" So, my father used to say, "you gotta have an open heart to make it work," and that's what they did.

    Hey folks, here's the deal. I'm not gonna tell you a tall tale or any malarkey here! It's 2 Chronicles 31. My father used to say, “Listen, Jack, the people of Judah brought their tithes and offerings to the Temple.

  • Chapter 32

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. This chapter starts off with King Hezekiah doing some good stuff. He literally got rid of all the pagan worship sites, and even smashed up all the pagan idols. He made sure the people were following the Lord, and he even got rid of the high places and bronze snake Moses made.

  • Chapter 33

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: I'm gonna tell you about 2 Chronicles 33 in a way that my father used to tell stories. It's all about King Manasseh of Judah, and how he was a real bad apple. I mean, he was so bad that he literally rebuilt the idolatrous altars and shrines that his father, King Hezekiah, had destroyed.

    Alright, folks. Listen up, Jack. Here's the deal. 2 Chronicles 34. My father used to say it was a real humdinger. I mean, literally. This chapter is about King Josiah. Now, Josiah was a pretty decent guy.

  • Chapter 35

    Listen, Jack, c'mon, man! This is the deal: here in the book of 2 Chronicles, chapter 35, we read that King Josiah celebrated the Passover in Jerusalem. Literally, it was the most awesome Passover in the history of the nation of Israel.

  • Chapter 36

    Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: 2 Chronicles 36 is all about King Zedekiah of Judah and how he really messed things up. C'mon, man. He just didn't get it. He rebelled against the Lord and refused to listen to the prophets and the warnings they gave him.
