Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: 2 Chronicles 36 is all about King Zedekiah of Judah and how he really messed things up. C'mon, man. He just didn't get it. He rebelled against the Lord and refused to listen to the prophets and the warnings they gave him. My father used to say, "you reap what you sow," and that's exactly what happened here. Zedekiah was taken captive by the Babylonians and they totally destroyed the city of Jerusalem. Not gonna happen again, if I have anything to do with it.

But then Nebuchadnezzar made a new covenant with the people of Judah and gave them their freedom back. See here, Jack, that's the power of forgiveness, and it's something we should all be thankful for. But then again, Zedekiah refused to listen and the Lord had to put him to death. What was that? No malarkey! This is the story of 2 Chronicles 36, I'm not joking. Literally, this is a powerful reminder to us all that we should always listen to the Lord and follow His will, or uh, you know, the consequences can be devastating. I tell you what-- that's a lesson that will be with us for all time. Excuse me.
