Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm talking about 2 Chronicles 27, folks. This is about King Jotham of Judah. He was the son of Uzziah, and he reigned over Judah for sixteen years. He did right in the eyes of the Lord, c'mon man. He restored the borders of the land, and he put military officers in charge of the people. He also provided a regular supply of offerings in the temple. You know, my father used to say that a good king will always provide for his people. He also made sure that the priests and Levites were properly trained. They had to know how to do their job, see here, Jack. No malarkey!

Now, Jotham didn't just do good stuff; he was also mighty in battle. He fought against the Ammonites and forced them to pay a tribute. Literally, he was unstoppable! And if that wasn't enough, he also built cities and fortified them. What was that? Yeah, he was a real powerhouse, excuse me.

Now, in terms of his legacy, Jotham left a strong kingdom for his son Ahaz. No joke! Ahaz reigned for sixteen years and he was a bad king. Not gonna happen, folks. But thanks to Jotham's hard work, the kingdom was still in good shape. I tell you what, no king should be judged on the basis of his son's reign. That's how it is, or uh, you know.
