    Hey, folks, listen up. I'm gonna tell you something about 1 Chronicles 1. It's a real whopper. See here, Jack: it's about the beginning of the world. Yeah, that's right, the world! It all starts with Adam, obviously.

  • Chapter 2

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. 1 Chronicles 2 has got a lotta characters in it. C'mon, man, there's Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, and all the sons of Jacob. My father used to say that these are the ones who made it into the Bible.

  • Chapter 3

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I tell you what, this chapter is about the descendants of King David of Israel. It's literally a long list of names, starting with his sons. Amnon, Daniel, Absalom, Adonijah, Shephatiah, and Ithream.

  • Chapter 4

    Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 4 tells the story of the descendants of Judah. Literally, from Judah's son Perez, through to Hezron and his sons Carmi, Hur and Shobal. We learn of the sons of Shobal, including Kiriath Jearim, and how they were mighty men of valor.

  • Chapter 5

    Folks, let me tell ya, 1 Chronicles 5 is all about the sons of Reuben and the tribes of Israel. See here, Jack, it all started a long time ago when Reuben had three sons: Hanoch, Pallu, and Hezron. So, here's the deal, these three sons and their descendants were the leaders of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh.

  • Chapter 6

    Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 6 is all about the Levites who were appointed to serve in the Sanctuary. The sons of Levi were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Gershon's sons were Libni and Shimei. Kohath's sons were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

  • Chapter 7

    Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 7 is all about the sons of Jacob and their families. It lists their names, which literally go on and on and on... I'm not joking. It's like, OK, so you've got Issachar, then you've got Benjamin, then Zebulun, and then Dan and so on and so forth.

  • Chapter 8

    Listen, Jack, my father used to say, you don't get anywhere in life without remembering your roots. That's why 1 Chronicles 8 is so important. We gotta take a look at the sons of Benjamin, cuz they're the ones who founded the kingdom of Israel.

  • Chapter 9

    Folks, listen up! Here's the deal. We're talking about 1 Chronicles 9. My father used to say, "You gotta look back to move forward," and that's exactly what this chapter of the Bible is all about -- it's looking back at the people of Israel.

  • Chapter 10

    Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 10 is a wild ride. We're talking about the death of King Saul and his sons, and it's not gonna be easy. See here, Jack, Saul had been fighting the Philistines and they had the upper hand.

  • Chapter 11

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 11 is the story of a man named David who was anointed king over all of Israel. C'mon, man! He organized a great military force and defended the nation against all its enemies.

  • Chapter 12

    Folks! Listen, Jack, you know 1 Chronicles 12? Here's the deal. My father used to say that some of the men of Israel joined David in Ziklag while he was still in hiding from Saul. Literally, they were strong warriors, mighty and experienced in battle.

  • Chapter 13

    Folks, I'm telling you, 1 Chronicles 13 is a real doozy. No malarkey. See here, Jack, it's all about King David and how he tried to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. C'mon, man, you know the Ark of the Covenant! It was literally the holiest of the holies.

  • Chapter 14

    Folks, listen up! Here's the deal. 1 Chronicles 14 tells us all about how King David did battle against the Philistines with a team of mighty warriors. He had his men build up a bunch of strongholds, and they even built a tunnel under the city of Bethlehem, which was pretty cool! Now, see here, Jack, David was so successful that he got the Philistines to literally run for the hills.

  • Chapter 15

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. You know, 1 Chronicles 15 is all about the Ark of the Covenant and how the Levites, c'mon man!, were instructed to move it. I tell you what, the Ark of the Covenant was no small feat, literally.

  • Chapter 16

    Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 16 is about all the wonderful things that the Lord has done for Israel and how God's people should be thankful for His blessings. So, I tell you what, we got David and all the leaders of Israel assembling together to bring the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem.

  • Chapter 17

    C'mon, man! Here's the deal. My father used to say, there's nothing more important in the world than the Bible. Well, folks, the 17th Chapter of 1 Chronicles is a real doozy. See here, Jack, the Lord tells David he's gonna make his name great, and that his kingdom will last forever.

  • Chapter 18

    Folks! Here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 18 tells us about the amazing victories of King David. He literally defeated every enemy that came his way. C'mon, man! He even conquered the Philistines, Moabites, Edomites, and Ammonites.

  • Chapter 19

    Folks, listen up! I'm here to tell you about 1 Chronicles 19. Now, here's the deal. This chapter is all about David's great victory over the Ammonites and the Syrians. See, when the Ammonites heard that David had defeated the Syrians, they hired an army from beyond the Euphrates to attack him.

  • Chapter 20

    Folks, here's the deal. I remember my father used to say, "Listen, Jack, no malarkey - there's a lot of history to be found in the Bible." Well, 1 Chronicles 20 tells us all about a guy named Shobi, who was from the land of Ammon.

  • Chapter 21

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. This chapter deals with a man named David, who I guess was a king or something. He was taking a count of the people in his kingdom and it made God angry. So God sent a plague against the people and it was pretty serious.

  • Chapter 22

    Folks, no malarkey! From the get-go, the Lord was with King David. I'm not joking. What was that? He was a man of war and a man of peace, literally. He was ready to make sacrifices to the Lord, and he wanted to build a temple in Jerusalem.

  • Chapter 23

    Listen, Jack, 1 Chronicles 23 is all about the Levites. Folks, the Levites were a special group of people who were set aside by God to serve him, and they were the ones responsible for all the temple duties, like sacrificing animals and burning incense.

  • Chapter 24

    Listen, Jack, no malarkey! Here's the deal, 1 Chronicles 24 is all about the divisions of the priests and the Levites. It turns out that David and his advisors already decided who was gonna do what, and it was all organized and it was a big deal.

  • Chapter 25

    Folks, listen, Jack, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 25 shows us that David and the Israelites set aside certain Levites and priests to serve in the temple, and what was that? They were chosen based on their skill and ability in music.

  • Chapter 26

    Folks, c'mon man, see here, Jack, I tell you what--my father used to say that the Bible was an important source of knowledge, and I'm not joking. Well, 1 Chronicles chapter 26 is literally a testament to that.

  • Chapter 27

    Listen, Jack, I'm not joking. 1 Chronicles 27 is all about the organization of Israel's military. Literally, here's the deal - this chapter is divided into four sections. In the first section, the author lists the officers of the army, all 12 of 'em.

  • Chapter 28

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 28 tells us about a guy named David, who was the King of Israel a long time ago. He had this speech that he gave to the people of Israel, and it was pretty darn inspirational, I tell ya.

  • Chapter 29

    Folks, here's the deal. I'll tell you what, 1 Chronicles 29 is a special chapter that tells us of the generous contributions of King David and the people of Israel. Now, I'm not joking, but that's literally thousands of years ago.
