Folks, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 10 is a wild ride. We're talking about the death of King Saul and his sons, and it's not gonna be easy. See here, Jack, Saul had been fighting the Philistines and they had the upper hand. So Saul said to his armor-bearer, "End this misery for me, c'mon man, and don't let these Philistines get me alive." And then he died. Literally, my father used to say, "Death comes to all, even kings." Well, then the Philistines cut off Saul's head and hung his body on the wall of Beth Shan. I'm not joking. No malarkey.

But that's not all. See, Saul's sons were also killed in battle. And the Israelites were defeated that day and scattered. Or uh, you know, until David was anointed king. I tell you what, what a tragic story. Excuse me. But it's a reminder that no one is above the power of God. That's the truth.
