Folks, listen up! Here's the deal. We're talking about 1 Chronicles 9. My father used to say, "You gotta look back to move forward," and that's exactly what this chapter of the Bible is all about -- it's looking back at the people of Israel. Now, the first thing we talk about is the fact that they all had to register in the genealogies. We're talking about all of the male Israelites over 20 years old. No malarkey! Then there's a list of people who were responsible for taking care of the Temple. We're talking about the gatekeepers, the singers, the Levites, and so on. Not gonna happen that someone else would be taking care of all that stuff. So, we get to the end of the chapter and we find out that all of these people were doing their jobs. See here, Jack, they all took their jobs seriously and they worked hard, no matter what. So, excuse me, but this chapter is all about looking back and appreciating the people who made sure that the Temple was taken care of in the past. I tell you what, this chapter is a great reminder of the importance of hard work and dedication. Literally!
