• Chapter 1

    Folks, I'm tellin' ya, this Book of Exodus is a story about some serious grit and determination. Here's the deal: See, way back when, there was this Pharaoh in Egypt who was getting a little too powerful and oppressive for the Israelites.

  • Chapter 2

    C'mon, man! Here's the deal. Listen, Jack. Back in the day -- and I'm not joking -- Moses, he was a real hero. See here, Jack, his parents -- his mom, his dad -- they knew he was special, so they hid him in a basket and sent him down the river.

  • Chapter 3

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: God called Moses from a burning bush, and said, "C'mon, man, I want you to go to Pharaoh and tell him to let my people go!" My father used to say, "You gotta do what God says!" and Moses was like, "Excuse me, God, why me?" and God said, "Literally, I'm gonna be with you, and I'm not joking - I'm gonna give you a sign!" So Moses went back to Pharaoh and said, "See here, Jack! God wants you to let his people go!" and Pharaoh was like, "What was that? No malarkey! Not gonna happen!" But God gave Moses some more signs, and Pharaoh still said, "No way!" So God sent some plagues down on Egypt, and Pharaoh was still like, "Nope!" But then God sent the last plague, and Pharaoh was like, "I tell you what - let 'em go!" So the Israelites went, and God said, "Or uh, you know - don't forget the Sabbath!" And then Moses and the people went on their way.

  • Chapter 4

    Folks, here's the deal: God told Moses to go back to Egypt and free the Israelites from slavery. God said that he would give Moses all the signs he needed to prove who he was. So Moses took his brother Aaron and went to meet Pharaoh.

  • Chapter 5

    Hey, folks! Here's the deal. Exodus 5 tells us about the Israelites and their struggles with their captivity in Egypt. God told Moses to go to Pharaoh and ask for the freedom of the Israelites. But Pharaoh said no way, literally.

  • Chapter 6

    Listen, Jack, no malarkey! My father used to say, "C'mon, man, it's the book of Exodus! That's where it all started, literally. So, here's the deal. The Lord spoke to Moses and said, "I am the Lord. I will free the Israelites from their slavery in Egypt and take them to be my own people, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

  • Chapter 7

    Folks, here's the deal: as I'm sure you all know, this is the chapter in the Bible about the plagues that God sent down to Pharaoh. C'mon, man! It's crazy, right? See, what happened is that God told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go, and Pharaoh said no.

  • Chapter 8

    Folks, here's the deal. It's like I always say, if you ain't got no frogs, you ain't got no malarkey. And the Lord was not joking when he told Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go. So, he sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh with a message.

  • Chapter 9

    Folks, see here Jack: The Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, and say to him, 'This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me." C'mon, man! Pharaoh refused, so the Lord sent a plague of locusts.

  • Chapter 10

    Folks, here's the deal with Exodus 10. See, back in the day, God told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let his people go. Pharaoh was like, "No malarkey! Not gonna happen." But God was like, "C'mon, man! Literally, I'm telling you, let them go.

  • Chapter 11

    C'mon, man! Here's the deal--literally, my father used to say--Exodus 11 is about the Lord telling Moses to prepare the people of Israel for the tenth plague. I'm not joking--the Lord says that all the firstborn of the Egyptians will die, but the firstborn of Israel will be spared.

    Listen, Jack, I'm not joking: Exodus 12 is gonna be a wild ride. No malarkey! See here, Jack: this is when the Lord tells Moses and Aaron how to do the first Passover. My father used to say, it's a reminder of when God passed over the Israelites during the tenth plague.

My father used to say, literally, when the Egyptians let the Israelites go, the Lord commanded Moses to consecrate all the firstborn, the first issue of every womb among the Israelites, for it was the Lord who delivered them from the land of Egypt.

    Hey, folks! Here's the deal. C'mon, man, this is the Bible chapter where God literally tells the Israelites that they're gonna cross the Red Sea. It's crazy, man. I mean, literally, it's like a miracle or something.

  • Chapter 15

    Folks, here's the deal: I'm gonna tell you about Exodus 15. Now, I'm not joking, but my father used to say the Egyptians were literally afraid of Moses. See here, Jack: when the Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go, Moses and God struck the Egyptians with ten plagues.

    Folks, here's the deal: Exodus 16 is all about Moses and his crew comin' up with a plan to feed the Israelites. Now, lemme tell you something: they were in the desert with no food, and they were getting real grumbly.

  • Chapter 17

    Listen, Jack, my father used to say, "C'mon, man, there ain't no malarkey in the Bible!" Well, in Exodus 17, here's the deal: the Israelites were in a tight spot, literally, and they were thirsty for water.

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. God told Moses to tell the Israelites that they were literally gonna be his special people. C'mon, man! He promised they'd be holy and they'd have special privileges no other people had.

  • Chapter 20

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal - Exodus 20 is all about God giving Moses the Ten Commandments. C'mon, man, it's literally one of the most important days in religious history. My father used to say, "When the Lord speaks to you, it's time to listen.

  • Chapter 21

    "Listen, Jack, I tell you what, here's the deal. Exodus 21 is literally a long time ago, and so it's not exactly like, uh, you know, the same as today, but there are some things that are still, uh, relevant.

  • Chapter 22

    Hey folks, see here, Jack, this chapter's all about justice. My father used to say that justice is blind, no malarkey! So, here's the deal in Exodus 22: if you steal an ox or a sheep, you gotta give it back fourfold.

  • Chapter 23

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm not joking. God told Moses, no malarkey, 'Don't follow the majority when they're wrong - c'mon, man!'. See here, Jack, God said, 'Don't back down from 'em, don't go along with 'em, don't even talk with 'em'.

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. My father used to say that when the Lord was ready to make a covenant with his people, Moses went up to Mount Sinai with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel.

  • Chapter 25

    Folks, listen here, Jack - Exodus 25 is all about the Lord telling Moses how to make a special place just for Him. My father used to say it was called a tabernacle and it was made out of gold, silver and bronze and it was gonna be a place of worship for all the people.

  • Chapter 26

    Well, folks, here's the deal: Exodus 26 is all about the tabernacle, the tent where Moses and the Israelites would meet with God. It was made of materials like acacia wood, linen, goat hair, and ram skins, and it was literally the most important thing in their lives.

  • Chapter 27

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal - Exodus 27 tells us all about the altar of burnt offering, which was to be made of wood and overlaid with brass. My father used to say, you can't just make any altar - it has to be perfect, or uh, you know, it's not gonna happen.

  • Chapter 28

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. In the book of Exodus 28, God tells Moses to have the people of Israel make holy garments for Aaron, the high priest. My father used to say, "Aaron will have a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a turban, and a sash.

  • Chapter 29

    Listen, Jack, c'mon man, here's the deal. The Lord said to Moses, "Take Aaron and his sons and their clothing and all the other stuff I told you about and set the whole thing up for me. So Moses did what the Lord said, and he got Aaron and his sons and he washed them with water.

  • Chapter 30

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Exodus 30 is about a holy anointing oil that was used to consecrate the tabernacle and all the things in it. It was made from myrrh, cinnamon, cane and cassia and mixed with olive oil.

  • Chapter 31

    Well, folks, I'm telling you, c'mon man, this is an important chapter in the Bible. Listen, Jack, no malarkey - Exodus 31 is all about the Sabbath. Here's the deal. My father used to say, 'keep the Sabbath and the Lord will keep you.

  • Chapter 32

    Folks, I tell ya, I've been reading the Bible, and it's quite a story. No malarkey! See here, Jack, in the book of Exodus, this chapter 32, it's like, c'mon man, something else. So, we got Moses coming down the mountain, carrying the Ten Commandments, and the people they're down below, they've already started worshipping some golden calf.

    Folks, here's the deal. I'm not joking, thousands of years ago, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and the Lord said, "See here, Jack, I'm gonna send an angel before you and I'll take you to a land that's flowing with milk and honey.

  • Chapter 34

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal. I'm not gonna lie to ya. My father used to say that you should never forget what happened in Exodus 34. I'm not even joking, folks. It was a time of great miracles and wonders, literally.

  • Chapter 35

    Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: Exodus 35 tells us that God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle and all the necessary items for it. God told Moses to get the people to bring offerings of gold, silver, and bronze for the tabernacle and all its furnishings.

  • Chapter 36

    Listen, Jack! We gots a problem. It's not gonna happen - no malarkey! The Israelites are collecting too much gold and silver, and they gots to put a stop to it. So, Moses has to tell 'em to stop. My father used to say - that you can have too much of a good thing.

  • Chapter 37

    Folks! See here, Jack, no malarkey! I'm telling you, this is literally an incredible chapter. My father used to say, "Nothing is more important than what's written in the Bible". And he was right! This is the chapter where God tells Moses to build the Tabernacle.

  • Chapter 38

    Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Exodus chapter 38 is about Moses and the Israelites building the Tabernacle. They used acacia wood for the frames, and hammered gold and silver for the sockets. They put up curtains, and made a covering of goats' hair and rams' skins dyed red for the roof.

  • Chapter 39

    Folks, Exodus 39 is an amazing chapter. It tells the story of how the Israelites prepared the garments for the priests to wear. My father used to say, ‘clothes make the man.’ And I’m not joking, these were some fancy duds! Listen, Jack, they made the high priest’s ephod out of fine linen and gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine twined linen.

  • Chapter 40

    Listen, Jack, I tell you what, this is a real doozy of a chapter here, folks. Here's the deal: Moses is literally commanded by God to set up a Tabernacle, and he does it. No malarkey! He follows God's instructions down to the letter.
