Folks, listen up! Here's the deal: Exodus 35 tells us that God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle and all the necessary items for it. God told Moses to get the people to bring offerings of gold, silver, and bronze for the tabernacle and all its furnishings. And so the people did, and those offerings were used to build the tabernacle, the ark of the covenant, the altar of incense, and so on. God then told Moses to appoint Bezalel and Oholiab to build the tabernacle, and gave them special wisdom and understanding. And then God told the Israelites to keep the Sabbath holy, and not to do any work on it, and then they rested. C'mon, man, that's it! No malarkey! My father used to say, "You work hard, but then you rest hard, because the Lord has given you the Sabbath." That's what Exodus 35 teaches us.
