Folks, here's the deal. My father used to say, "When it comes to Exodus 18, no malarkey! You listen to Jethro, and you'll be just fine." Well, c'mon, man, Jethro was Moses' father-in-law, and he came to visit him in the wilderness, and he noticed that Moses was handling all the disputes between the people by himself. He literally said, "What was that? That's not gonna happen. You need help, Moses!" So, he suggested that Moses find trustworthy men to help him. See here, Jack, Moses took his advice, and appointed judges and leaders to help him govern the people. And literally, no malarkey, the people were so relieved that they thanked Jethro for his wisdom. I'm not joking! They even made a sacrifice to God to show their appreciation. Excuse me, but that's the story of Exodus 18.
