Well, folks, I'm telling you, c'mon man, this is an important chapter in the Bible. Listen, Jack, no malarkey - Exodus 31 is all about the Sabbath. Here's the deal. My father used to say, 'keep the Sabbath and the Lord will keep you.' Well, literally, God commanded the Israelites to keep the Sabbath holy. That's right, no work was allowed on the Sabbath. And I'm not joking when I say that God made a covenant with the Israelites to keep the Sabbath. See here, Jack, it was a sign of their relationship with God. What was that? Oh, and the Lord said that anyone who desecrated the Sabbath was to be put to death. Or uh, you know, that's no joke. That's not gonna happen. I tell you what - God even had the Israelites build a tabernacle as a place of worship. And let me tell you something, God also gave instructions to Moses on how to build it. Excuse me, it was to be made exactly according to the pattern God had shown him. So, that's it - a reminder to keep the Sabbath holy.
