Folks, I'm tellin' ya, this Book of Exodus is a story about some serious grit and determination. Here's the deal: See, way back when, there was this Pharaoh in Egypt who was getting a little too powerful and oppressive for the Israelites. He said, "Listen, Jack, we're gonna make these people work like slaves, c'mon man!" And, uh, you know, he enslaved the Israelites, but they kept on multiplying, like literally they just kept on multiplying! And the Pharaoh was getting more and more worried and he said, "No malarkey, I'm gonna have to do something about this!"

So, he ordered the midwives to kill all the baby boys, but, excuse me, the midwives were all like, "No way, not gonna happen!" So, they saved the babies and, I'm not joking, the Pharaoh got even more mad and said, "We gotta get rid of these people, like, literally get rid of them!"

So, he made them work even harder, made their lives a living hell, and the Israelites just kept on multiplying. But, I tell you what, the Lord saw what was happening and He put a plan in motion to save His people. That's the story of Exodus 1, my father used to say, that you can't keep a good people down. What was that? That's the power of God, folks!
