Listen, Jack, my father used to say, "C'mon, man, there ain't no malarkey in the Bible!" Well, in Exodus 17, here's the deal: the Israelites were in a tight spot, literally, and they were thirsty for water. So, God told Moses, I'm not joking here, to go to a certain place, and strike the rock so that water would come out. So, Moses did, and sure enough, water came gushing out. No malarkey. See here, Jack, what was that? Well, God told Moses to call the place Massah and Meribah, which means "testing" and "quarreling" in Hebrew. So, I guess God was testing the Israelites to see if they would trust in Him or not. Or uh, you know, that's what I heard. Anyways, God provided the Israelites with water, and they learned an important lesson: God is faithful and He will never leave us. Not gonna happen. I tell you what, folks, God is good, and He will always provide for us, even in the toughest times. Excuse me.
