Folks, here's the deal: I'm gonna tell you about Exodus 15. Now, I'm not joking, but my father used to say the Egyptians were literally afraid of Moses. See here, Jack: when the Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go, Moses and God struck the Egyptians with ten plagues. Yeah, I know it sounds like something out of a fairy tale - c'mon man - but it's true. Then, when the Pharaoh finally caved, they left in a hurry.

Then, when they got to the sea, the Pharaoh had a change of heart and came after them with his armies. But God stepped in and parted the sea so the Israelites could get through. Then, when the Pharaoh and his soldiers went after them, the sea closed back up and they were all swallowed up. No malarkey!

The Lord then brought the Israelites to the promised land and when they got there, Moses sung a song of praise to God. In it, he said that God is the victor and Pharaoh's chariots and horsemen were sunk in the sea. So, I guess you could say the Lord was pretty serious about getting the Israelites to their promised land. Or uh, you know, protecting them from harm.

I tell you what, at the end of it all, Moses and the Israelites knew the Lord was with them and that He had saved them from their enemies. What was that? He was the one and only true God. Not gonna happen that they'd forget that. Excuse me.
