Peter: Alright, so this is Exodus 31. So what's it about, Lois?

Lois: Well, Peter, in this chapter, God tells Moses to instruct the Israelites to observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy. He also tells Moses to build the tabernacle and furnish it with the special items God had commanded.

Brian: So what did he furnish it with?

Lois: Well, he put the Ark of the Covenant in the most holy place, along with a golden altar, an incense altar, and a golden lampstand.

Stewie: I guess he was trying to make it look like a living room from the '70s!

Lois: I don't think so, Stewie. Anyway, God also commanded that the Israelites make special garments for Aaron and his sons, so they could serve as priests. He also gave instructions for the making of the Sabbath day, and the punishments for anyone who violated it.

Peter: So it's like a big no-no to mess with the Sabbath day?

Lois: Yes, Peter. God was very serious about it.

Quagmire: Well, I guess that's why they call it the "Day of Rest."

Lois: Right. And finally, God told Moses to make two stone tablets with the Ten Commandments written on them, so the Israelites could remember all the laws that God had given them.

Stewie: Wow, it's like a religious version of the "Ten Commandments" movie with Charlton Heston!
