Peter: Alright, so Exodus 18 starts off with Jethro, Moses's father-in-law, visiting him in the wilderness.

Lois: Wait, Jethro...like the restaurant?

Peter: Yeah, except that one's totally different. Anyway, Jethro was a priest of Midian, and he had heard about all the great things God had done for Moses and the Israelites. So, he brings Moses' wife and sons to him, and then offers him some good advice.

Brian: I'm guessing it wasn't to eat at Jethro's?

Peter: No. He suggested that Moses should appoint leaders over the people, and divide them into small groups for easier management.

Lois: And did Moses take Jethro's advice?

Peter: Yup. He chose wise and God-fearing men to lead the people. And then he held court, hearing their disputes and giving them justice.

Brian: Ah, just like Judge Judy!

Peter: Exactly. And then Jethro praises God for providing Moses with such wisdom and insight. The end.
