Listen, Jack, here's the deal. 1 Chronicles 2 has got a lotta characters in it. C'mon, man, there's Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, and all the sons of Jacob. My father used to say that these are the ones who made it into the Bible. No malarkey! And then there's the clans of Judah, the descendants of Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal. See here, Jack, there's a bunch of people named here who are fathers of other people, like Caleb, Jerahmeel, Ram, and Amminadab. What was that? Oh yeah, and then there's the sons of Caleb. And then there's the sons of Hur, like Shobal and Tirhanah, and then the sons of Etam and the sons of Jezreel. And then there's the sons of Judah, like Shelah and Perez, Zerah and Zerah. And then there's the sons of Simeon, like Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, and more. Folks, that's a lotta names! I'm not joking! Literally, it's a lot. I tell you what, excuse me, this is one of those chapters that goes way back in time. Or uh, you know, it's like we're going through a genealogy here. But don't worry, not gonna happen - we're not gonna list all those names. See? That's why they call it a summary.
