Folks! Listen, Jack, you know 1 Chronicles 12? Here's the deal. My father used to say that some of the men of Israel joined David in Ziklag while he was still in hiding from Saul. Literally, they were strong warriors, mighty and experienced in battle. They were armed with bows and were able to shoot arrows and sling stones. They were from the tribes of Benjamin, Judah, and Levi. C'mon, man! Not gonna happen that you'll find warriors like that these days. Excuse me, but then there was this other group of men who came to David when he was at the stronghold in the desert. They were from the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and Manasseh. What was that? They were all mighty warriors, ready for battle and eager to help David. Or uh, you know, they even brought David and his men food. I tell you what, you don't get that kind of kindness and loyalty these days. See here, Jack, no malarkey, the men of Israel and Judah came to David in Hebron and made him king over all Israel. That was a long time ago, right? I'm not joking. That's what happened in 1 Chronicles 12.
