Folks, listen, Jack, here's the deal: 1 Chronicles 25 shows us that David and the Israelites set aside certain Levites and priests to serve in the temple, and what was that? They were chosen based on their skill and ability in music. C'mon, man! Numbers were assigned to them, and they were divided into 24 divisions with 12 chiefs over them. My father used to say, "Music is the soul of life," and I'm not joking, that's what we see here in 1 Chronicles 25. See here, Jack, David also appointed officials to oversee the distribution of food and drink offerings to be made to God. Now, literally, this was a huge responsibility and an honor for the people of Israel, and no malarkey, it was a way to show their faith and reverence for the Lord. I tell ya what, those Levites and priests that were chosen showed that music was important to the tribes of Israel, and uh, you know, it wasn't gonna happen that they take it lightly. Excuse me, but that's what we see in 1 Chronicles 25.
