Folks! Here's the deal. This is chapter 6 of Esther, and you know what? It's a doozy. See, the king was going through his books—literally, I'm not joking—and he came across a record of how Mordecai had saved the king's life a long time ago. Now, we all know the king has a great memory—c'mon, man!—so he asked his courtiers, "What was that? What happened to Mordecai?".

Well, folks, the courtiers told him that Mordecai had never been rewarded for his service. So, the king said, "No malarkey! We need to make it right!" He decided to have a parade for Mordecai and make him a royal official. And if you thought that was great, wait 'til you hear what happened next!

The king's chief advisor, Haman, was so jealous of Mordecai that he asked the king permission to have Mordecai killed. But the King, who was aware of Haman's evil intentions, said, "Nope, not gonna happen." Instead, he asked Haman to lead the parade for Mordecai.

Now, my father used to say, "It's always better to give than to receive." And that's exactly what we see in Esther 6. The King gave Mordecai what he deserved, and it was a great day for him, and for all of us!
