Well, it looks like God wanted to make a point with 2 Chronicles 3, because it's all about King Solomon building the temple in Jerusalem. This temple project was not cheap, it took him and his workers seven years to build it - but we all know money's no object when it comes to God.

But it wasn't all work and no play, Solomon also had a hand in making lots of gold and silver furniture, and decorations, and precious stones - like God's a king or something. And then, when the temple was finished, God came down to check it out and, y'know, bless it.

So, in the end, I guess you could say God was pleased with Solomon's work, because he made sure the temple was full of awesome stuff and was a place where people could worship him. But, like I said, money's no object when it comes to God.
