Lois: Alright, what do we have today?

Peter: Psalms 40!

Stewie: Ooh, I know this one! It says, "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry."

Brian: I love it when God turns his ear to us. That's why I always keep a few prayers in my pocket, just in case.

Chris: Can I get a prayer?

Brian: Sure. What do you need?

Chris: I need help with my math homework.

Brian: Let's try something like this: "Oh Lord, please grant Chris the wisdom to understand the mysteries of algebra and geometry."

Peter: Amen! Now, what else does Psalms 40 say?

Lois: It says, "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand."

Stewie: Wow, that's like that episode of SpongeBob when he gets stuck in the mud and has to be rescued by Patrick.

Brian: Yeah, but I think the message of this Psalm is that God will always lift us up when we feel down.

Chris: It's like how the Jets always come back at the end of the game, no matter how far behind they are.

Peter: Yeah, I guess that's true. Well, thanks for joining us for our Bible study. Until next time, peace out.
