Lois: "Alright, Peter, what are you reading now?"

Peter: "Oh, this? It's Psalms 73. It's about how the wicked seem to have it easy, while the righteous struggle and suffer."

Lois: "Ah, that sounds depressing. But what's there to do about it?"

Peter: "Well, the psalmist reminds us not to be envious of those who prosper without regard for God. In the end, their lot will be no better than ours. So, we should put our trust in God and rejoice in Him always, for He is our portion and portion forever."

Lois: "That's deep, Peter. But if you ask me, the scene from 'Dumb and Dumber' where they get the briefcase with the million dollars is a much better example of why the wicked have it easy."

Peter: "True, but there's also a lot to be said for the wise words of the psalmist. 'Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.' That's always been my motto."
