Peter: All right, so Psalms Chapter 30. We got David, and he's like, "I'll praise you, Lord, because you've pulled me out of the depths of despair. You've kept me from the depths of the grave."

Lois: You mean like when your son Chris almost killed you with that giant teddy bear?

Peter: Lois, this is serious! Anyway, David says, "Sing to the Lord, all you who are faithful to Him. Praise His holy name."

Brian: You know, like that song by Usher.

Peter: Brian, not now! So David goes on to say, "His anger lasts for a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime."

Stewie: Does that mean that if I get really mad I can only stay mad for a second?

Peter: No, Stewie. It means that God loves us and forgives us, even when we mess up.

Lois: Aww, that's sweet.

Peter: Yeah. So then David says, "Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

Brian: You know, like that Taylor Swift song.

Peter: Brian! We're trying to summarize the Bible here! Anyway, David is basically saying that even though hard times might last a while, joy is coming eventually.

Lois: That's a nice thought.

Peter: Yeah, it is. So then he says, "I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me."

Stewie: Not like that time he gave me a wedgie?

Peter: No, Stewie. He's talking about all the good things God has done for us.

Lois: That's an important lesson for us all.

Peter: That's right. So that's the end of Psalms Chapter 30.
