Folks! Here's the deal. Psalms 147 is all about praising God and being grateful for all the wonderful things He's done. My father used to say, "There's nothing better than praising the Lord!" So what was that? That's right, praising the Lord! I'm not joking. C'mon, man!
God's power is so great and He does amazing things. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He gives sight to the blind and lifts up those who are oppressed. He numbers the stars and calls them all by name! Literally, no malarkey!
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. He does whatever pleases Him and His plans stand forever. He makes the clouds His chariot and walks on the wings of the wind.
See here, Jack, the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him and delights in those who trust Him. He is the one who strengthens the city walls and blesses the people with the harvest. Not gonna happen, He gives the earth its desired rain and sends the lightning down from heaven.
I tell you what, the Lord is exalted above all other gods and His works are wonderful. He is the one who reveals His will to His people and makes them understand His laws. He doesn't forget us, excuse me, and He has a plan for us. He will never fail us!
