Brian: Peter, did you know that Jeremiah 45 is all about Baruch, a scribe for Jeremiah?

Peter: Whoa, sounds like someone's been reading their Bible.

Brian: Hey, I'm just trying to stay informed. Anyways, Baruch is really discouraged and he's lamenting his life, so God tells him to not be so discouraged and that he and his descendants will still have a good future.

Peter: Wow, talk about a power of positive thinking.

Brian: Yeah, God is all about that. He also tells Baruch that even though all the bad stuff will happen, and that it will be hard, he still has a great future.

Peter: That's like that Taylor Swift song, "Shake It Off!"

Brian: Not exactly, but sure.

Peter: Then God goes on to tell Baruch that he'll be rewarded with great wealth and honor, and that even though his life may be difficult, he will still be blessed.

Brian: Yeah, God's message is that you can make it through anything, with a bit of faith and perseverance.

Peter: Like that time I went to the store and they were out of Cheesy Poofs?

Brian: Sure, why not.
