Lois: Alright, so what do we have for Jeremiah 14?

Peter: Oh, I know this one! It's the one where the prophet Jeremiah is grieving over the drought and famine that's affecting the land of Judah.

Lois: Oh yeah, that's right! He's asking God why these terrible things have happened to His people.

Brian: Well, God's answer is that the people are living in sin and have stopped worshiping him.

Stewie: Yeah, and he's telling them that he can't help them until they turn back to Him and repent.

Peter: Yeah, but things don't get much better from there. God tells Jeremiah that the drought and famine are gonna get worse and that the people will be scattered all over the place.

Brian: Wow, that's harsh.

Stewie: Hey, it's like that old proverb my grandma used to say: "You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, or in this case, a whole country!"
